25HP 3cyl 4-stroke Can't maintain full power

I have the above engine OR1946XX and it will start easily and runs well at low RPM. When it is reved up it will get the boat on plane but after about a minute. it starts to stall out and run rough. Loses RPM. Go back to idle for 30 sec and it will do the same thing all over. Runs great for about a minute. Have replaced the tank and engine hose couplings and the fuel filter. I am suspecting the fuel pump may be too weak to maintain a full carb bowl. If it was the carb high speed jet for instance, it wouldn't run at full throttle at all. Right? Any thoughts?

Have you tried pumping the bulb when this happens?

No I haven't. What would it mean if the engine regained power? Would that confirm the fuel pump as a cause?

If that improves things, t means it's not getting enough fuel pressure--bad pump or air leak before the pump. In essence, the hand on the bulb takes place of the fuel pump!

Thanks Jeff. As you see I have figured this but wanted some verification or confirmation. I did have a leak in the tank end of the hose connector but have fixed that. I couldn't get the bulb to get full pressure. I will try the bulb test and see what happens. Maybe tomorrow. Thanks again!
