I have a 2.5 omc stern drive. The person that was winterizing it in southern mo. last year didn't do it because of health reasons. I didn't find out about it until the end of the summer. I got it back up to Nebraska and pulled the stern drive replaced the bellows and the hoses. I then checked the alignment and got it remounted. While checking out the engine I noticed the front freeze plug had popped out. Not good. Got it put back and and it started O.K.. The bad part.. water is leaking out of the bearing on the flywheel or around the flywheel. I can't see any cracks in the block and there is no water in the engine oil. Is the block cracked on the inside? Is this engine toast or can I tear it down far enough to repair?
