Hi would like to no what i nee

Hi would like to no what i need to do to convert to electric start and roughly how much it would cost have a 1979 25Hp evenrude.#25904R

"Peter, for electric start you need a starter, solenoid, either a starter button or keyswitch, a wiring harness and a battery/cables.

Your flywheel should already be proper for the conversion (have the teeth needed).

If you stick to aftermarket parts you could probably do the conversion for around 250 bucks (as a rough guess) - genuine OMC parts would cost you more.

I have considered converting a couple of my small motors to electric start and have always concluded that I can do alot of pulling on the cord before I would consider the upgrade worthwhile..."

Thanks graham yes i guess your right on that one but im getting old and sometimes get wore out trying to start the @$$%%^^& thin hshshshs
