25 HP Johnson buzzer will not sound Joe Anyone

I just installed the controls on a 2001 25 HP Johnson, and when I turn the key switch to "on", the buzzer won't sound. The starter and enricher do work correctly; I manually put power/ground to the buzzer and it sounded. Is there something additional that needs to be installed before the buzzer will work, or is there a problem somewhere else? If so, where should I look? thanks in advance,

"Jon.... In order for the warning horn to beep momentarily when you turn the key on, the horn must be the three wire type (12v <purple> from key to horn, sender wire from horn to actuators <tan>, Ground from horn to ground <black>.)

If you have the three wire type horn and it doesn't beep when you turn the key on, I'd suspect that you have the 12v wire and the tan sender wire reversed..... or you have a poor ground.

Thanks..., I have a two wire type - I wish I could remember the colors of horn wires, but I think it mated with a purple and tan. The wiring harness has a bunch of plugs/garbage on it, but the one intended for the horn has two pins. The connection on the harness up in the engine has 3 plugs; I want to say a total of two six pin plugs (they are six or 8) and one 3 pin. The three pin plug is just blocked out with a cap, it's for power trim I think. Does this sound right or do I have the wrong wiring harness?

Yes, I will be sure of that.. It's going in to be prepped (whatever that is) this week, they're going to send the warranty card in and deal with that tilt issue as well. Thanks for the help anyway,
