246 cylinders not sparking

"Can someone help, I have a V6 mariner 135hp, Motor runs but only on 1,3,5 cylinders, there is no power to spark plugs on 2,4,6.
Any ideas as to problem?"
 
"you haven't given a model

"you haven't given a model # or year. get a manual, and do some testing. most likely a switchbox, but it gets expensive changing out parts to diagnose. testing is fairly easy."

Its a 1989 not sure ofr engine no. as I am at work, I will post tomorrow. As for the manual I have got one but there is very little information on trouble shooting, plenty of wiring diagrams, I have checked for loose wires and found none, what do you suggest I check?"
