"Here we go again, short story, after many problems and replacing many different things, I got boat to run great. For a weekend and a half. Boat was running great then it just died, no spark at plugs.
screw that holds down points just turns, so Im assuming that the points are staying closed. Also I found a very small lock washer in the area where the points are, then it fell in a hole in the distributor. What is under thae plate that the points and condensor mount to? Could that washer get into the motor?

"If the screw is turning then probably the hole is stripped in the points plate. See pic below, points are #4 and the plate is # 13. You can remove the points plate and underneath are the timing advance springs and weights. You may find your washer down in there but I don't know if I'd worry about it too much.
