"I have a 1990 Bayliner Capri

"I have a 1990 Bayliner Capri that is in excellent condition and is just in general a great boat. The problem is when beginning maintenance for the year I noticed a considerable amount of water in the oil leading me to believe a crack in either the block, head, or exhaust manifold. Any suggestions on where or how to start? Also where can I find parts for such an engine? Automotive parts? If so out of what vehicle?"

But can I use just plain ol' automotive parts in the engine? I've been told no. Also were there any other vehicles that used the same 2.3?
