anyone know of a place to get

anyone know of a place to get a good used 2.3 cobra drive I need to replace one that was stolen thanks Michael
 
I have found some drives for V

I have found some drives for V6s and V8s which are 15 tooth splines. has anyone ever tried to regear one of those drives so it could be used with a 4 cylinder
 
somewhere around 1990 or 91 th

somewhere around 1990 or 91 the 4 cylinder OMC's all went to the 15 spline lower

I have aproblem i have a 1986 cobra 17.5 ft with a 2.3 ford. The problem is when the boat is started and in drive to put it in nutral i have to turn the boat off then shift to nutral. then start the boat back up. From nutral i can shift to fordward or reverse
 
sounds like a problem with the

sounds like a problem with the ESA. start the engine in nuetral and press on the interupt switch. if the engine starts missing and stumbling then the ESA is working and you probably just needs to adjusted. there are many referances on this forum about the stuart hastings proceedure for adjustment. read it closely cobra's are tempramental to adjust but when there adjusted right there is nothing like them.

I have a 2.3 that "clunks" every couple minutes or so. I bought a parts boat motor, and outdrive for $200 bucks. put that outdrive on my boat anyway, i was told that its probably the clutch dogs that are wore out, dont know of any other damage that may have occured. Since it started clunking i prob drove it 30 minutes, to dock and loaded it up.

make sure your in neutral wigg

make sure your in neutral wiggle the handle. you have a kill switch mess with that.

You check the main fuses?

Hey Guys...this is not a thread for everyone with a 2.3 problem....start up your own new thread with all the relevant info you can think of. Otherwise this thread is just going to get too confusing and no one will end up getting the help they are looking for.
