" Does anyone know where i can find a ring and piston and a bearing set to rebuild this motor. I can not find a serial # or any #'s on this motor. The only writing i see is "Japan" forged in the housing. Any help is appreciated.

You can go to www.mercurymarine.com and find the part numbers yourself.

Click on parts express and use this serial number 8075603

You will be able to view the parts diagrams for this engine.

These engines (2.2 HP) were sold by most outboard companies under their own names, but they are all identical. You could get the parts from a Johnson or Evinrude dealer also, but I think it would be easiest to look up the parts numbers at the Mercury website and order them from a Mercury dealer.
