225 stalls at idle

"I have a 2000 model 225 Ocean

"I have a 2000 model 225 Ocean Runner which has recently started stalling at idle, it starts and runs fine and will run at idle while still in gear but as soon as you take it out of gear the motor stops.
It will start up straight away and usually idle fine until it has been in gear.

It did this on one outing and then for the next four days was fine, next trip out 9 days later it stalled every time it came out of gear.

Any ideas?"

Plugs all changed at last service, pulled and checked last week and all clean.

Will try decarb as to my knowledge it hasnt been done for over 12 months."
