225 honda outdrive removal

"trying to replace water pump, unbolted lower unit it slid down 4" and stopped. used BFH and a block of wood won't budge. Then used a porta power and block of wood and won't budge. any Ideas?"

is it in foward
did you remove the speedo tube?
