"I mean where the tranny mount

"I mean where the tranny mounts... so says the wrecking yard. Could one be de-tuned after being Marinized, to not over-power the Drive? I googled the engine. It showed 180 HP. Would the current fuel-injection operate ok?
The other problem after that, is whether it is compatible with the Solonoids, and relays on the Buick. What about air intake? Would you use the flame arrestor currently being used?
Just a crazy idea I had."

"Nope,... You Can't bolt

"Nope,... You Can't bolt a Chevy motor where a Buick used to live...
The bolts won't have any Holes to go into..."

"Sorry Scott, Bondo is correct

"Sorry Scott, Bondo is correct, a Buick engine wont bolt to a Chev Bell Housing (2 bolts will but that's not enough) Unfortuneately Mercruiser and OMC or Volvo Dont use a Dual Bolt Pattern.

Though didn't the mid 60's Glastrons use a Buick V6 ? or was that a GMC V6 ? that's what was in one of the Bat Boats."

"I wanted to go FROM the Buick

"I wanted to go FROM the Buick, to the Vortec, Brian. Not the other way around. Just curious. Thanks as well, Bondo.

It's Still 1/2 of 1,+ 1/2 of the Other...

If that Glastron had an OMC it'd be the Buick,..

"sorry you weren't that sp

"sorry you weren't that specific, Chev motors are more common with OMC,

as for Buick to Chev, doubt it, tt would depend if the bell housing is a "dual" pattern, you would see more than 6 mounting holes. i'd say stay with a Buick or you might be able to get a V6/V8 Bell housing."
