I was wondering if you could h

I was wondering if you could help me out with the fuel mixture ratio and the spark plug gap on my J20CRCTE Johnson engine.It seems to chug a little bit however briefly on accelerating from an idle.Could this posibly be the or part of my problem.Thanks
 
The plugs in your 1983 Johnson

The plugs in your 1983 Johnson should be gapped to .030 and the fuel mixture is 50:1.
