2024 50hp grinding when shifting into gear

when i shift from neutral into gear its grinding but goes away as soon i give it a little gas, no other issues that I can see. Is this just a cable adjustment? if so there are 2 , which one to adjust? thanks john

You must operate the control with a QUICK & FIRM motion when putting it into gear.----No " granny shifting " is to be used.----So do not ease it into gear.

it 's a new issue. 1st 200 hrs of operation never did this thats why I think maybe a cable needs to be tightened but I don't want to proceed with out a little direction

Assuming it was designed and set up properly, it should't need adjustment in two years, IMO. Would it have needed a 50 or 100 hour checkup that might have included this adjustment?
