I bought it brand new this year - leftover 2022...Hung it on my RIB and as we worked through the break in period - started to notice some 'sputtering' at higher rpms. Now, as soon as I get mid throttle or higher, she shakes like she's bouncing off the bottom and conks out (red light doesnt come on) The shop owner guessed maybe the wrong prop size was setting off rev limiter. Switched out prop, no change. I'm no mechanic but it feels like fuel or power delivery...
The shop also has a failed diagnostic cord so he can't hook me up to computer. The next Tohatsu shop is telling me 2 weeks...
Anything I can check while I wait? The fuel in tank was checked but for the hell of it, I'm going to clear out filter and use the working fuel tank from my 40 hp to see if it's fuel.....other than that?
to clarify it sputters a little when starting, runs ok at low rpms and bucks to the point of dying at high rpms
