2019 BF60 High Pressure Fuel Filter Leaking

Hello,

I have a 2019 BF60 (fuel injected) and can't get the High Pressure Fuel Filter O-ring to stop leaking. It was leaking and then I replaced it with an OEM Honda O-ring/filter and kept on squirting out the sides. Even got desperate and added a gas reistant dressing on the O ring but it still leaks a little.

My question is there something else in the VST that could cause it to have extra pressure everytime the Fuel Pump turns on? The fuel lines going to the injectors are all fine and tested the injectors as well.

Also, my primer bulb works but it doesn't ever get firm. It keeps on squeezing fuel but never gets hard.

Hi,

There are 2 o rings on the side cover where the HP filter is, a small one and the main one.

put some grease on them and install on the vst, then install the cover.

put the spring in the vst side and the filter on the cover, its esier if the side cover is off.

make sure the oring is in the groove on the vst, otherwise it wont seal.

That's the usual reason they don't seal. If it's been installed incorrectly and pinched, you'll need a new o-ring.

Turns out that it was missing the small O-ring on the side for some reason. Added a replacement and stopped leaking. And for the primer bulb not getting hard, the plastic pick up tube in the gas tank was cracked and sucking in air.

Been following this conversation. Thanks for the info regarding the small o-ring. The o-ring is installed now and no leaks. If I accelerate quickly the engine cuts out - seems to be fuel starved. I changed the water separator element and the high pressure filter along with o-rings. The symptoms are the same - cutting out during rapid acceleration. Any ideas where to look next?
