2018 5 hp sail power merc won’t staying running at idle

hi everyone New here thanks for having me
have a 5 hp sailpower 2018,
it’s starts won’t stay running at idle
checked venting on gas tank
disconnect fuel hose let cool 2 hrs
reconnect primed bulb still the same.

runs when throttle is is at restart setting or little above that setting
also it’s reviving up and down at that throttle setting
and notice hi rev when choke half in on cold start
 
Clean the carburetor.-----And run fuel out of the carburetor when you are done boating.----An empty carburetor stays clean.
 
racerone pulled carb fuel bowl had couple of water bubbles and dust. will pull float and meddle valves soak in b12 unless you think something better
 
Be sure to run that motor dry of gas each time you stop using it. The ethanol gas tends to mess things up if you don't. This is especially important with sailboats that don't run the motor all the time.

Pull the gas connector off and let it high idle until it stops.

racerone and fast jeff haven’t put carb back on as of yet . should i empty gas tank let dry out and use fresh fuel. i’ve allways added 360 marine fuel additive also thoughts on use of that. i’ve order new fuel filter also
thanks for both you help let you know when i re assemble the outcome

If your fuel is more than 2-3 months old then burn the old fuel in your vehicle and replace outboard fuel with fresh non ethanol fuel if possible. Repeat every 2-3 months.
