Last month I was out on the lake and the engine stopped. I checked the fuel line and it had a hole from the dry rot. It was close to the prime bulb so I was able to splice further down the hose and reattach. I primed and it started right up. When I got back, I replaced the hose with a new OEM hose. Tried starting it up and it would just turn. I replaced the water fuel seperator and filter and watched the fuel prime from the bulb so I know there is not still a leak in the fuel line. I then replaced the spark plugs, still not firing up. I then sprayed starter fluid and it started for a few seconds.
It is obviously a problem between the fuel filter/water filter to the plugs. Anyone have a suggestion on what I should try next? Thanks for any help.
