2014 Honda BF60 jumping/bouncing when increasing throttle

I have a 2014 Honda BF60. The motor will start first turn of the key. Idles fine and will work ok up to about 50% throttle. When I open up the throttle the motor starts jumping/bouncing, over revving etc. I changed the plugs, gas, checked the fuel filter on the front of the engine. Proper amount of oil is in the motor. I'm not sure what else I can do. Any suggestions?

If you have a tachometer.....what rpms does the bouncing start and how high are the rpms going?

If it is indeed overrevving, maybe your prop hub is spun.

Before next time out, scribe a mark across the hub and across the spacer on the back of the prop. Once the engine does the overrev again, check your mark and see if it is still straight or if things moved. If they moved, you need a new hub or maybe just a new prop.

If it is not overrevving, then maybe you are running out of gas (sucking air from a loose hose, tank withdrawal tube, etc.

Have someone, sit next to the squeeze bulb and continually squeeze it to see if it makes any difference in the way it runs. If it improves, then you definitely have a fuel flow issue.

Also...if you have not changed the high pressure filter (most people do not even know they have one) and you have a few hundred hours on the motor, then it is time to change it. Part #35 on the side of vapor separator. http://www.boats.net/parts/search/H...Later/BF60AK1 LRTA/VAPOR SEPARATOR/parts.html
