I have a 2013 Pro XS 175 in my boat house that hasn't been cranked for 3 weeks. I keep it on trickle charge constantly. I went out last Sunday to fish and it would not start. It turns over just fine. I pushed the key in to choke it like I used to do on my older Mercury and I may have flooded it. I stayed on the water for about an hour using trolling motor. I finally put it back on the lift. I tried it a couple more times that afternoon after waiting 2 - 3 hours.
I checked the kill switch and it was fine. In the boat house it is quiet so I was able to hear the fuel pump prime when I turn on the key.
I am 72 y/o so it is hard for me to trailer it by myself so I am wondering is the a way to check to see if it is firing without removing the cowling? Any suggestions will be appreciated
