Hi guys, I just joined the forum. As above, I have a 2012 DF50A that I have owned from new and has been maintained by myself for the last 6 years or so. About a year ago it developed a strange problem that my dealer and Suzuki NZ cannot explain. When I turn the ignition key to "on" there is no tone-its dead. However, as soon as I hit the PTT button on the remote, (or the motor) I then get the tone and the motor will fire. Strange eh!? Anyone heard of this? I have replaced the battery isolation switch, new battery, tested the ignition switch etc. I'm thinking a short in a wire or maybe the ECM god forbid...
The motor has about 900 hours on it as I go out once a week at least fishing the waters in NZ.
