I can't seem to verify that my 9.9 is cooling correctly. It doesn't seem to want pump water with mouse ears. I have left it running longer than 5 minutes but it doesn't want to pump water. I also tried using large plastic can filled with water above the intake but it doesn't want to work. I'd like to see it cool in my driveway before I try to take out on the water. Being a 2011 model with very few hours running in only fresh water is it normal for the impeller to fail that quick. Could it be another problem? If it is the impeller, are there other parts I need to get to make the repair? Thanks in advance
