2010 Mercury 40HP Four Stroke

The label on my 2010 says this weighs 311 lbs. that seems heavy for a 40HP. Similar modes around this year are in the low to mid 200 lb range. Did they put packaged weight on the sticker or was this year motor particularly heavy?

A 2010 model brand new ??----Just be careful with your beer tokens.----I would want to see this motor on my boat before handing over any beer tokens.
