Hi guys

A mate has two 2010 mercruiser 4.3L EFI V6s', as they have been fitted into an older vessel its still running the old style instruments up front.

hed like to install a NMEA 2000 system to monitor engines, fuel flow etc... maybe Lowrance or Raymarine.

Whats his options?

are these engines plug & play via NMEA2000? bd5374174269330235096[1].jpg

Hi there, could you by chance get the engine serial numbers for the engines located just above the engine starter on the starboard side? From the photos posted, those aren't EFI/MPI engines, they look to be carbureted judging by the black ignition control module box mounted on the port side exhaust manifold. Thunderbolt V ignition control modules does not support a digital read instrument. http://www.perfprotech.com/blog/articles/mercruiser-serial-numbers

Yes you are right! I think I can see a bit of the mechanical fuel pump on the stb engine. well he told me they were efi but i havnt been on the boat yet to see for myself.

Anyway, to have all engine vitals displayed on nice lcd screen up front, im guessing he will have to;
  • replace all senders with digital or
  • convert all available analog signals to digital.
  • add a fuel flow sensor as well.

cant get serial # right now, in a few days no problem.
