2010 40 hp efi

its a continuous for about 6 seconds I just got it back from the shop on Friday they replaced the oil sensor said is was faulty and put a new impeller in it it ran fine for a bit then when I returned to load came off wot to idle the alarm went off like I said for about 6 seconds then stopped and it set there and idled fine
 
Only a hookup to the computer will tell for sure but i think it may be running borderline hot and then gets a tad hotter when you slow down the water flow...could also be a bad sensor...if it happens all the time i would run it for a couple runs with the cowl off and see what happens..the air may keep it cooler...was the impeller in one piece that was taken out?...there could be a piece of it in the water passage somewhere?
 
the water coming out of pee hole is cool I am going to call the shop today and take it back and have it hooked up to the computer it seems to run fine just when you go to idle it comes on
 
i dont know where the p-hole is located on that engine...some are located before the water jacket and all they tell you is the water pump is working...some are located after and you can feel the heat...i feel the exhaust itself if i want to gauge that way...also a couple fingers on the head and count to 6...if you can hold fingers on the head that long then its probably ok..
 
I took it to the repair shop they hooked it up to computer its a bad oil sensor everything else looked fine temp voltage all other readings were fine except no oil pressure which it has to have oil pressure or the motor would have locked up so they ordered another sensor we shall see thanks for the reply
