"My 5 week old motor with about 30 hours on it will rev out to 5400-5500rpm 41mph at first, but after 1 hour of driving, tubing, watersking, it will only rev to 5000-5100rpm 35mph. I ve brought it back to dealer they cant do nothing for me. Looking for any advice."

Thats good.Id say run the moto

Thats good.Id say run the motor wot when the problem sets in and hit the choke if there is a noticable improvement it is a fuel related issue im taking the easy option first. If not when the problem happens shut the motor down and inspect the plugs you are looking for a wet plug ie one that is not firing .You could also try pulling the plug leads off at idle with an insulated pair of pliers and see if one plug makes no difference to the motors operation .Then you can point your mechanic in a direction .

If that was my motor, the dealer would surely be aware of the problem by now.

Personally, I'd not fiddle with anything. If you have, try avoid mentioning this fact to the dealer when you go back...

I have 2008 efi four stroke and it acts exactly as you described. but i over look this because of the rough idle and other bad habits.
if you solve problem please inform us of solution. mercury looks at me like i have nothing better to do then talk about this.
