2009 350 mag problem

I have a 2009 350 mag in a 23 ft rinker. We took it out a couple of days ago, wouldn't run well, determined it was the fuel filter. Replaced it,soaked filter in gas, but did not fill plastic bowl it was in with gas. Took it out today, ran fine for 8-10 minutes, then died. Turns over,wouldn't start again, or even fire. Sounded like it just ran out of gas, but it had pressure at the port on top of the engine. We did nothing else to the engine. Any ideas? TIA

You don`t have a plastic bowl on the fuel filter.How about a better desciption of whats wrong.
