2008 Mercury Optimax 150 alarm

Good morning. I have an issue with my 2008 Mercury Optimax 150 HP. The alarm trips intermittently as the boat is in gear and will shut off when the boat is put back into neutral. Sometimes it will go off when trying to get up on plain, other times it would happen just a few seconds after getting up on plain and other times it will happen after driving a short distance (1/2 mile or so). I have water pressure w/ good water flow coming from the tell-tale and the oil tank is full of oil. I want to say its a sensor issue but don't want to assume. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Try disconnecting the oil tank sensor and see if the problem goes away. If it's still going off there may be a sensor for the oil pump also. Also try disconnecting the temp sender too. .
