2007 Yamaha 2 stroke 85hp - tachometers

Can I use the Quicksilver (Mercury) Tachometers (for 2 stroke 90hp Mercurys) with my 2007 Yamaha 2 stroke 85hps?

If so what wiring do I have to do?

Yes.

A tachometer only needs 12 volts, a ground and the tachometer signal. The green wire in the Yamaha ten pin harness carries the tachometer signal.
