2007 Mercury optimax 75hp idle issues

Hello all, I am looking for some tips or guidance in the fixing of my optimax 75hp.

I bought it powering a 21' pontoon. The owners of the boat restored the boat itself and then let it sit for about 3 years. The boat is in EXCELLENT shape but I can't get the motor to run right, especially at idle. It will idle for a few seconds and then shudder to a stop.

Some things I've done:

Ran all old fuel out, removed tank and emptied, new fuel lines, new bulb, in line clear glass so I see the gas moving, removed and cleaned out the entire fuel pump cleaning screens and manually tested both pumps while there and replaced filter, new spark plugs, air and fuel pressures check good with approx. 10psi difference, pulled air and fuel injectors which looked clean, brand new battery.

I'm at my wits end trying to figure it out. It seems to run okay while reving (when I can get it in gear and past idle without it dying). I live in an area where local dealers refuse to work on mercury saying "they are too much trouble for our time".

Right now I'm awaiting a new diagram for the air pressure, because it looked a bit chewed up (see photo) but I feel like the seal was good until I removed it.

Any tips would be appreciated, I feel terrible because my boy is ready to be on the water on the new boat but I can't figure this out.

Still looking for any help.. have since replaced diaphragm, no change. All brand new coils, no change, checked reeds, none are damaged or bent.
