Hi - New Guy here
I'm looking at a new to me Cobalt 263 8.1 425 hp - 200 hours of salt use - possible purchase from dealer ...
Boat out-drive & trim tabs have alot of barnacles on them (not cleaned up yet) ... like more barnacles than I usually see from 1 season ... boat bottom is painted and looks OK though it needs new paint ...
Dealer say no big deal - he's selling with a 30 day warranty
My concern isn't the exhaust risers & elbows being clogged (as they do get that way)
I'm worried that the engine block may be getting clogged up (?)
Is there any reliable way to check the block - like - pulling the exhausts or thermostat and seeing some problem ?
What should I look for that may give me a clue as to the block condition ?
Seems like a big deal to me to know the condition of the block ..
Thanks
C
