I have a 2007 5.0 MPI with 38 hours. The boat has two gas tanks; generally I run one tank until it gets low, then switch to the other so they get about the same amount of use. I have always added stabilizer to the fuel at the end of each season. This year, I had run the boat off of one tank for about a month, ran great, no problems. Two weeks ago I switched to the other tanks and ran it for about 10 minutes, no problem. On Sunday, I started the boat and let it run for about 5 minutes; temp looked good, oil pressure looked good. Then, all of a sudden it sputtered and stalled out. I was able to restart it, but it only ran for about 5 seconds and died again, then I was not able to restart it; it will crank, but not start.
I have replaced the fuel filter and water separator (Gen III canister style); both were fairly dirt. I put 5 gallons of fresh gas back in the original tank, but no fire. Today I checked the fuel pressure and it was zero. When I turn the key to "on" I do hear the fuel pump spin up. I'm just not sure what else to check at this point; looking for ideas. Thanks!"
