However, that is a 2000 dollar component. Now if you think an extra 25 horses which will not produce any noticable performance difference on your motor is worth 2 grand, it could be a simple change.

However, if you happen to live in the US, it is illegal to alter the horsepower of your motor...."

The XS has different reeds and

The XS has different reeds and rail pressures.
The computer is aware of the altitude via the MAP sensor. The L/U gear ratio may be able to be lowered a little to make you for power you lost. That is usually what you do to fix that.
