2007 225 hp Rigging Tube

Hi All, new to forum. I have a 2007 Robalo with 225 Honda. Rigging tube from engine keeps comming off during season. I have already had to replace throttle cable last year due to cable rusting out. Just getting her ready this year and took off rubber grommet holding cables and harnesses and groove where this all sits on engine is FILLED with dry salt...Any solutions ?

Sounds like the same problem I had in the past, the tubing was always to stiff and after time would hold water in tube.. After having to replace shift cable twice due to it rusting and tubing making cable so stiff that cable came unattached from cable..

I had a local mechanic come up with a good idea a sunbrella boot that unzipps easily has been on for a year works great and looks good as well...
