"I have a buccaneer billfisher 650 boat (1700kg) with 2007 200hp yamaha 4 stroke 17" left screw prop.
At WOT I get to 5900rpm boat fully loaded. I find that the boat comes off the plane quickly at low rpm and appears to lack thrust at lower rpm. In rough weather I find that I am continuously backing off then giving it throttle to get back on the plane. I have 3 blade prop, would I be better with 4 blade prop or different size to keep the boat powering through seas at lower rpm?"
