Hello, I am new to this forum and would like to see if I can get help with a motor problem I am having. Well here goes,,,, My motor has been sitting up for a while and went to start it and noticed the gas was bad. Dumped gas and flushed all lines and cleaned filter. Also kitted the carbuerators. Now the problem....It will start and idle fine, but when putting in gear and trying to get on plane, it just lugs down and starts missing(like too much fuel). Please help? Anyone?

Does that mean a thorough cleaning? If you pump the primer ball does it run better?

I took it completely down and cleaned it up. I replaced all gaskets and float. No, it does not run better when you pump the bulb, it tries to die.

has fuel pump diaphragm been inspected ?

I have checked the fuel pump diaphragm and it looks a little off color and a little out of shape, but could not see any visible holes in it. Do you think i should go ahead and replace them?
