I have a 2006 Optimax 225 HP. When I go at cruise rpm (5200 RPM). Runs good at first for a few minutes. Then the RPM oscillates low and high consistently(1000 RPM variances).
I replaced the external water separator and filter. I drained the Fuel pump drain for the water separator. I took it out for a test drive and the problem remains. I sounds like a fuel restriction
problem, but I replaced the filter. Fuel hoses look good and are ethanol proof. I did a voltage reading on the Throttle Position Sensor and it goes from 0 to 5 volts smoothly with no jumps
or flat spots.
Any idea what I should check next?
