i have a 2006 mecury four stroke efi outboard model190413FY, S/N 1B357994.
I just purchased ,it would not run WOT its cutting out, anything above about 2000rpm. It runs great below 2000 and only cuts out when running faster after a few seconds. I cleaned the VST tank, changed plugs, filter, checked the ant syphon valve, low pressure fuel pump, vent cap,everything is ok. the fuel line connecting the motor to the tank had failed., interior lining had deteriorated due t ethanol, which i replaced along with the ball, that's when changed the filter. if my daughter primes the fuel ball, it will run wot, all day long, it runs great, everything points me towards a fuel supply issue. I placed clear lines on the low pressure pump, it is getting fuel and producing pressure. anyone have any ideas on what could b causing this?
