Does anyone have the link and sync procedure for a late model 90 hp johnson 2 stroke? It ran perfectly when I put it away and on my first trip out this season it didn't want to idle and eventually sent itself into SLOW (limp) mode and wouldn't go above 2500 rpm. I did fuel stabilizer and fogged the cylinders before storing so I don't think it is a fuel quality issue.

If anyone has any other ideas on what may have changed please let me know. It ran okay on plane and WOT was 4900 rpm which is slightly higher than I remember, but then it went into limp mode and I decided to head back to the dock. No warning lights.

Do some trouble shooting.-------------I do not believe it is a " linkage synchronizing " issue here.---------------" S.L.O.W. -is activated by overheating issues.

What about an underheating problem? Can that activate SLOW? When I pulled to cowl I could put my hand directly on the cylinder head and it was only warm to the touch. Do the thermostats get stuck open on these things? Lake water was in the 50s.

No warning lights for overheating or oil issues, plenty of water coming out the back.
