2006 DF 150 Intermittent Trim Problem

Im having and intermittent trim problem.

Intermittently trim up will not work. Down works on both the motor and at helm/throttle all the time. Up will work at both or neither. (When trim up is not working, it wont work at either location.)

I’ve replaced the Trim Relay assembly (which controls both up & down) and I still have the intermittent up problem.

Just curious if anyone else has come across this.

Im not sure if this is related, but when I adjusted the screw to manually lift the motor, then tightened it, the motor didnt stay up like I thought it should.

Ive done some research and saw it could possibly be the Trim Sensor, Trim Computer, Trim Motor, Trim Pump, or faulty Trim Limit Switch.

Could this be a fluid issue or battery voltage issue?

Just curious if anyone else has experienced this and has any insight to help give me a starting point after replacing the Trim Relay Assembly (part# 38410-93J12)

Thanks!

Light blue lead wire?

Snoop around the trim/tilt switchs, find the light blue wire and trace it as far as you feel comfortable. Unplug and replug any plugs that have the light blue wire, look for pinch points with wires exposed. You never know what you might find. Intermittent electrical gremlins can be a challenge to find.

If you’re taking it to a Suzuki shop ignore this post, they will have a electrical schematic. If it’s not then this might help them, remember that this schematic is for a 2009 DF90A NOT your engine but it MIGHT help the shop and save you a dollar or two.
