2005 polar dynasty, motor does not turn over and trim does not go up and down.

They both worked before lunch. Neither worked after lunch. What's the common thread?

Thanks racerone. Load test was fine, but the 20 amp fuse in the motor wiring harness by the starter was blown. I changed it, then both the motor and trim worked. Now I just have to figure out why it's not smoking. It set up a while. Both reservoirs are full with two cycle oil. I ran it for a couple of minutes, noticed it wasn't smoking like it used to, and shut it down for fear of damaging it. Should I try adding some oil to the fuel tank? I put ten gallons of gasoline in it after draining the old gasoline and changing the fuel filter.
