2005 Mercury 50HP 2 Stroke

I recently bought a 2005 Mercury 50HP 2 stroke outboard on a pontoon boat. The motor runs very well at 1/4 to full throttle but will not idle all the time and shuts off. allot of times it is hard to start after it shuts off, and I have to choke it to get ti to start again even when the engine is still warm.

Any suggestions?

Carb flooding issues. Need to have them removed and cleaned.

PS: The above is what happens when people don't run their fuel system DRY every time they stop using the motor for the day. ("Evil-nol" fuel again.) You want to get into the habit of pulingl the fuel connector off at the motor and letting it run 'til it dies. Every time!
