2005 mercruiser 3.0

i have a 2005 bayliner 185 with a mercruiser 3.0. i was told that it may or may not have power steering and by the way it drives sometimes i would guess it didnt so i looked last night and couldnt find any type of resivour that said power steering. was just wondering if it is possible some came without it
 
If the cable from your steering wheel connects directly to the drive without any other "widgets". No power steering. IF the effort to move the steering wheel full right to full left is the same with the engine on or off... No power steering.

does it matter if you are trying to turn it in or out of water. casue when trying to turn it out of water it is not easy

If out of water and engine running, you need to be on "muffs", i.e., supply fresh water to engine... ( or it gets expensive, fast).

The effort to move won't change in or out of the water at engine idle speeds. In the water "at speed" can require more effort.

Best bet if not sure, looks @ Btdocs post!
