2005 merc 25 hp pee stream fluctuating

I've got a new 25 hp merc

I've got a new 25 hp merc 2005 model with less than 2 hrs on it. The stream of water coming out of the pee hole varies from a very strong flow to almost a trickle sometimes when I accelerate and slow down. Is this normal for a newer model engine????? I haven't noticed this before on other motors. Thanks in advance for any info on this.

the tell tale on that engine assuming it is a two stroke is thermostatic controlled when thermostat opens streem is heavy and hot
