This motor has been great since I bought it new, but I noticed small amounts of gasoline in the water when putting the rig in the water last summer . . . and when sitting for a time at the dock.
The motor ran fine all year, but when I winterized it last November . . . I had cloudy lower unit gear lube for the first time ever.
I'm not ultra-mechanical. I need to change the fuel filter this spring. My brother-in-law asked "Could it be a head gasket?"
I'm not sure what to think, but am wondering if anyone in this forum has experienced this phenomenon . . . or might otherwise know what could be wrong.
Much obliged in Minnesota (and still looking at snow on the ground).
