I have a 2005 evinrude 115. I have never had a problem with it and been a great motor! Went to go for a ride and all of a sudden it is down on power. Ran flat and took 10 times longer to get on plane with 2 people. It would struggle to get up to the 5000 rpms at wide open. Even with just one person it still struggled but did make it too the normal rpms. It started hard the next time and I had to throttle it to start after sitting over night. Ran like it was loading up all the time.
I decided to to pull the plugs and noticed all four where oil fouled bad. I also noticed there was a lot more oil dripping out of the air box than normal(dealer did it’s normal for a little when the motor is tilted up. I pulled the box and 3 of the four throttle bodies had a puddle of oil in them. Never had a problem till I trailered four hours for a fishing trip I do twice a month.
Do do I have a bad diaphragm in the oil pump were it pushing to much? I checked the return line and it was not pinched.
