2005 etec throttle sticking

My throttle sticks. I can clear it by hitting the gas again.i have looked at the throttle lever and can see it sticks about 1/2 an inch before the end. The link seems very loose as well but ive not worked on them much it maybe that way. My quess is the spring in the throttleleverets weak or the link. Just wondering if this is a hard job to change these items and if myqueens is wright.

You have to disconnect the cable from the engine and see if the throttle lever moves freely to determine what is hanging up.

The throttle cable isn't directly connected to the throttle lever just the actuator link which looks loose. But I can operate the lever and see it sticks.thanks!

Im going to change the spring on the lever see what happens
