2005 50 hp mercury lopes

I know nothing about mercurys never owned one or been around them much. A boat im looking at has a 2005 50hp mercury. when its idling on the muffs. it sounds like its got a performance cam in it. is this normal for 50hp mercury's.
 
Some of the 50 and 60 hp Mercs . The ecm has a hard time catching up with what the sensors are sending it. Is this loping erratic?. Does the motor sway side to side not violently but somewhat not normal? Sometimes when the motor is brought off idle. Revved up and then brought back to idle. The engine may go below idle then it will come back up to normal idle.

It may also be not enough fuel pressure to have the engine run normal. That would show a voilent side to side sway.
 
Two stroke? four stroke? EFI? Carburetor? I really doesn't make much difference. A well maintained 2005 50hp Merc should run like your car. Depending on the model it may be different issues, but would you be happy if your vehicle ran like that?
 
the owner told me its an oil injected engine. he ran mixed gas through it to make a video. thats why it was loping the way it was
