my outboard starts and idles great. I put it in gear (forward or reverse this happens) and apply throttle the motor for a few seconds and dies if I try Idling down same thing. The motor starts up and idles but repeats the scenario. replaced fuel lines ,fuel pump, spark plugs, tried new gas, rebuilt the carburetor, no help. water pump is good, no intake leaks, good battery. The plugs have carbon on them, and I did not remove the Idle jet (a plug covered the bottom). tried adjusting the air/fuel valve and every other setting. I only use pure gas, thanks for any help.
