2005 25hp Johnson carburetor question

I recently purchased this 2005 motor (J25TESOM) and wondered if there is something missing over the hole in the carburetor? I looked at carburetor kits online and didn't see any parts included that would attach or cover this hole but wanted to ask around. Just seems odd there wouldnt be something covering this?

Oddly enough, there is nothing missing. From the looks of it you would assume there should be a plastic flame arrestor/silencer on the front of the carburetor. I used to own a 2003 J25 and had the same concern. After much searching I found the bean counters at OMC/BRP decided the molded plastic flame arrestor/silencer these motors used to have was costing too much and did not provide any benefit.
